In terms of gaming clans the United Nations Army has a long history dating back to 2004,
Spanning Operation Flashpoint, Armed Assault and now ArmA 2.
During this time we have had a constant active presence,
Using a realistic approach in game, and with team play at the heart of our playing style.
We have fought in clan wars, taken part in tournaments,
And played many friendly’s against well known clans, some we've won some we've lost,
But against AI or Person versus Person, the important thing for us is to give our opponent a good fight.
It started out as just an idea from a strong man known as General Crow and his loyal Corporal Luke.
(Both previously members of ICM = Intel Combat Marines, we wish them all the best were ever they are today)
Originally called the United Nations Academy, the name was given to the Clan to both reflect the
International membership and one of the main values which was to teach and train the members in a
military fashion to think and act as one.
These two friends founded the clan for OFP/Resistance on the 20.07.04.
Crow and Luke spent hundreds of hours building up the clan in this way, setting up our first webpage and
Dedicated server, all this time the U.N.A. was growing bigger and stronger.
Test's, training maps, and military exercises were devised to push the members abilities and,
Incorporated with the ranking system to promote and reward achievements within the clan.
During the latter part of 2006 Armed Assault was released and on the 30.11.06 the U.N.A. officially
moved over to this game. During the coming months there was some disruption to the clan, which saw the then
Leader of U.N.A. GEN Crow and Bad Cop amongst others leave the clan.
It is always painful for us to lose members of the first hour, but with no choice but to look forward,
And to get the better of the challenges of the past we move on.
Members come and go with the passage of time, this is just a fact of life.
Learning from these experiences brought a new structure to the clan.
Becoming more real life tolerant, open-minded, and a willingness to compromise and discuss clan matters,
Strengthened the brotherhood of the U.N.A.
Now under the leadership of Luke we continued forward playing Armed Assault.
On Friday 26 June 2009 BIS released ArmA 2, The United Nations Army moved over to this latest
military simulator, and continue to grow stronger as a unit..........
